I know I’m a couple of days early but I doubt I will finish anything else before the month ends. This month I thought it would be interesting to compare my TBR to what I actually read.
The good news is I read 5 books in stead of 4 lol. City of Bones was a re-read for me (I want to re-read all of the Shadowhunter series this year). Did you read any of the books on either list? If you did what were your thoughts? Happy Reading Y’all!!!!!!
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Goodreads Description: Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.
Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.
With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.
My Thoughts: Wow……Now as you guys know I hardly ever do a review on a second book in a series due to spoilers but I had to. This book absolutely blew my mind!! I felt the need to post this review because I know some ppl were not impressed with book 1 in this series. I must say if you were one of those PLEASE GIVE THIS BOOK A TRY.
I loved every single moment of this story. Now I must say it was a little steamier than I expected (as a good southern lady some parts made me clutch my pearls lol) so just a heads up. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. Have any of you read this? If you did what did you think? Happy Reading Y’all!!!!!
Well I don’t want to post the Goodreads Description this time because this is the 2nd book in the series and of course it would spoil book 1. I did however want to put my thoughts on this novel out there.
I actually started this book last year immediately after I finished Outlander. This was a mistake for me because as you all know these books are HUGE and I couldn’t focus. So I put this book down and read other things.
I started watching the Outlander tv series season 1 and really enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed the book. However being the book nerd that I am I could not continue on to season 2 until I read the book. So I pulled this baby off the shelf and went to work. The beginning was soooooo slow……… I found myself dreading picking it up. It was like a never ending string of words. After 200 pgs in I decided to pick up the audiobook.
I don’t know if it was listening to it or if the story just picked up but I found myself wrapped up in the world again. Ahhhhh how I love thee Jamie. I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars. Even though I really enjoyed it is could not give it 5 stars because of the beginning.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the Outlander series and I will say if you find yourself getting bored as I did hang in there it gets so much better. Plus that ending was worth it!!!! Have any of you read this book or further into the series? If so what are your thoughts? Happy Reading Ya’ll!!!!!!!
